  About

Child psychology is one of the most important branches of applied psychology. It studies human development and growth during childhood, focusing on the prenatal stage and the physical and emotional characteristics that children experience throughout their lives. Child psychology paves the way for parents, psychologists, and others to understand children scientifically and correctly according to the nature of their development. It also enables them to gain comprehensive knowledge of the nature of a child's personality and its components, as well as the relationship between a child's behavior and genetic and environmental factors.

This specialization examines advanced stages of psychological development in children, as it is responsible for addressing the mental health, developmental, and learning needs of the youngest and most vulnerable members of the family, since childhood is the stage of life when personality is formed and a significant part of a person's future is shaped.

It is one of the most prominent trends in graduate studies at a number of universities that have obtained advanced degrees in international quality system rankings, including:

  • The British Arab Academy for Higher Education
  • Faculty of Social Sciences, Nottingham Trent University
  • UCSI University Malaysia
  • King Saud University
  • Arab East Colleges
  • Suleiman International University

In order to advance our educational institution, a new program (Master's in Child Psychology) has been introduced in the Department of Kindergarten and Special Education for the academic year 2022/2023.
