Brief
Department Education of Quranic Sciences and Islamic in College of Education for Women, Iraqi University is one of the leading scientific departments with the establishment of the college in academic year: (2004-2005), where more than fifteen batches had graduated in undergraduate studies (Bachelor), and three batches in postgraduate studies ( Masters) specialization: (Quran Sciences / Methods of Teaching Noble Qur’an and Islamic Education), which is a major tributary in preparing of the university school for secondary stages in Ministry of Education in Iraq..
The students can study a scientific subject specialized in Qur’an Sciences and principles of Recitation. They are briefed on Prophet’s biography and sciences of Al-Hadith and its curricula. They also learn about Islamic Doctrine and Comparative Religions, issues of Islamic Jurisprudence and its foundations, as well as various sciences of Arabic language, educational and psychological sciences and modern teaching methods, in addition to Human rights, English and Computer.
The department was also distinguished by its teaching staff specialized in various human and scientific sciences, who obtained higher degrees from Iraqi and international universities, and achieved higher scientific degrees in their specializations, and blessed with abundant knowledge, as well as a high educational spirit, which contributed to University knowledge and skills development , made a university school with a major role In promoting the values of equality and good citizenship in Iraqi society.

To be a leading department in the service of Noble Qur’an, and to understand its explanatory connotations, its educational and psychological trends, and its scientific and cognitive schools.
Message :
Seeks to provide Iraqi society with educational outputs characterized by a balanced Islamic personality, which contribute to spreading the principles of moderation, as well as preparing Quranic studies and research aimed at solving contemporary problems.
Goals :
The department aims to achieve objectives listed below:
-Preparing a university school specialized in sciences of the Qur’an and Islamic education, by instilling principles of our true Islamic religion in the hearts of students.
- Develop self-censorship and faith in the graduates, qualify them for scientific research and develop skills in writing research and the ability to analyze and deduce.
- Keeping pace of technical development in adopting effective teaching methods enhanced by modern technologies and advanced teaching methods that serve the educational and learning process.
- Periodic review of school curricula to keep pace with scientific and cognitive development while preserving Islamic constants, and benefiting from the great Islamic heritage of our Islamic nation’s scholars.
- Openness to society and support for voluntary work in order to achieve the great message of Islam in spreading principles of goodness and peace.
